[AUDIOSINCRETISMI: puntata sei]

__ Puntata numero sei di AUDIOSINCRETISMI; sottotitolo: “beat tape a tema campionamenti jazz e soul”.
Dopo i suoni 90s della scorsa settimana oggi tornano protagoniste sonorità più attuali e perché no più sperimentali.
I beat fanno la parte del leone in questo sesto audiosincretismo, ma prima di snocciolarvi la lista dei nomi che ascolterete in questa seletta ci infilo dentro un po’ di storia.
All’inizio la base, il beat, era raramente concepita come forma di musica a se stante e in qualche modo era sempre prodotta e studiata per poterci registrare sopra la voce. Negli ultimi anni stanno invece emergendo in tutto il mondo numerosi produttori che compongono, con il ricorso a svariati campionamenti, basi fatte apposta per l’ascolto. Chi è stato l’originatore? Difficile dirlo; ma secondo me l’indimenticato Jay Dilla ha cambiato un bel po’ il modo di concepire questa forma musicale.
Tra le tracce inserite nel mix di oggi occhio alle due di Suff Daddy estratte dall’ultimo cd del dj/producer tedesco intitolato Suff Sells (uscito pochi giorni fa, andatevelo a sentire sul suo Bandcamp, ne vale veramente la pena). Nella scaletta fa doppietta anche Freddie Joachim: produttore statunitense padre fondatore dell’etichetta Mellow Orange. Non manca un pizzico di Italia nell’audiosincretismo di oggi: si tratta di Irhu, producer da Otranto e di Kae, cantante trevigiana (la sua Special è cantata sulla base di una produzione di fLako, presente nel mix anche con un altro pezzo). Amalgamano il tutto i suoni di Keor Meteor (Parigi); Knxwledge (California); Ta-ku e Miles Bonny; Toro y Moi; Psymun (Minneapolis) e i Jazzual Suspects.

After the 90s’ sound of last week today here we go again with more current sounds and, why not, more sperimental.
The beats do the main part in this sixth audiosincretismo, but before revealing the list of the names you’re going to listen in this selection i’ll slip in a bit of history.
At the beginning the beat was rarely imagined as a kind of music in itself and in someways it was always produced and studied to record the vocals over it. In the last few years all over the world more and more producers are standing out for composing bases made for listening, with the help of many samples. Who was the founder? It’s hard to say; but for me the unforgettable Jay Dilla changed a lot the way of conceiving this kind of music.
Among today’s tracks I recommend the two belonging to Suff Daddy pulled out from his latest album called Suff Sells (released few days ago, go listen to it on Bandcamp, it’s really worth it). In the selection there are two Freddie Joachim’s tracks: american producer and founder of the Mellow Orange Label. There is a touch of Italy in today’s audiosincretismo: it’s Irhu, producer from Otranto, and Kae, singer form Treviso (the base of her song ‘Special’ is produced by fLako, and you can find it in another song of the mix). Everything is blended with the sounds of Keor Meteor (Paris); Knxoledge (California); Ta-Ku and Miles Bonny; Toro y Moi; Psymun (Minneapolis) and the Jazzual Suspects.
